Test(3)

Today I received a delivery of wooden board to experiment with new sounds and to test them on the speakers. I used thin boards, I realised that the thinner the boards, the less resonance they have at the point of test’s end.

First, I cut and drilled holes in the wood to fit the size of the speaker, but the wood was so thin that it often broke.

I carefully cut another wooden board to the right size, but it broke again while joining it with the speaker, so I decided to just experiment with the broken board with putting some purchased material between the speaker and the board to test the sound.

Unfortunately, the volume of the speaker was too low, and there was too little movement of the speaker plate, so there was no change in the sound. To solve this problem, I first bought an audio amplifier called LM386, but I don’t have a male to female jumper wire to connect it to the breadboard, so I’ll have to wait for that to arrive. I also bought a slightly more expensive but larger speaker driver in case the amplifier doesn’t move the plate properly. Next time I’ll have to test the sound with an audio amp and speakers and the griddle that hasn’t arrived yet.
