The first idea is Moving Speakers. I wanted to visualise sound, and there are many ways of doing this already, but I wanted to represent the inaudible and visible sound by speakers
To do this, I need to use multiple speaker drivers and give them a very low frequency waveform of less than 20HZ. That way, you can see the individual speaker movements, and I think it’s interesting to create an organic movement of the speakers to show the overall movement.
However, I know that this method has been used by many artists and it is too simple, so if I implemented it, I would have to think about how to make it more diverse and different.

The second idea is the Speaker Drummer. This is a device that does not produce sound through the speaker, but rather uses the movement created by the electric current flowing through the speaker to make the speaker hit something. A mallet is attached to the speaker, and a steel plate or other material is hung from the ceiling, and the mallet is used to make the sound. I think I could use multiple speakers (maybe 8-16) to create the sound of different materials, and also create a sense of space through the placement of the speakers. I think this could be an interesting piece because it shows a different way that speakers can create sound.

The third idea is Water on Window. This is an idea I came up with while driving in the car on a rainy day, and I thought it would be interesting to implement using light sensors. First, make a windscreen (can replace with plastic) and the front part of the car, then attach several light sensors to the bottom or back of the windscreen. After that, spray black water through a watering pot from above so that the light is well obscured, and enjoy the different sounds it makes. The wipers on the windscreen can be activated periodically to change the sound. Yet, I need to think about the details to make this a reality.
